ABU DHABI — Job-seekers at the Abu Dhabi Police can now log onto the Internet or call a tollfree number to get first hand information about the administrative procedures without the need to go personally to the Directorate General of Human Resources.
Lt. Colonel Hilal Al Mazrouei, Acting Head of Selection and Appointment at the Abu Dhabi Police's Directorate General of Human Resources, said the innovative service comes within the context of continuous efforts to streamlining procedures by introducing modern technology in all stages of appointment announcement of vacant jobs through the Abu Dhabi Police web site (www.adpolice-hr.com).
"Job-seekers, be inside or outside the country, can simply log onto this website to apply for jobs online. The new service allows applicants to know the progress of their applications and enquires about related issues through the tollfree phone number (8008999) during work hours. Well-trained and qualified employees will be at hand to answer queries," he added.
Al Mazrouei urged applicants to avail of the service and spare themselves the hardship of coming personally to follow up procedures. ''We have been witnessing heavy rush from national holders of secondary school certificates who would like to join the police ranks. Centres for receiving applications in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Sharjah have been seeing huge turn out," he said. He pointed out to the coordination between the administrations of selection, appointment and the human resources in regard to attracting new recruits.
