“As we witness the 11^th edition of Dubai Airshow which coincides with the fifth anniversary of the demise of the Late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan (May God bless his soul) it comes to our memory, while viewing the present in which we live, what the late Shaikh Zayed has achieved overcoming the pasts cruel circumstances and how with the support of his brothers built a modern state that symbolized his future vision.

UAE’s blessed march continues under the wise leadership of His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and with the support of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and Their Highness Members of the Supreme Federal Council, Rulers of the Emirates. The UAE’s strategy is based on a clear-cut vision and absolute determination to realise all-out development according to carefully-studied plans. This development will continue to serve as the basis for the exhibition industry and national achievements. What we see and perceive in the UAE today, despite the world financial crisis, expresses clearly the great international appreciation for the UAE exhibitions continuous success.

This is not strange in the UAE which is considered today as an international facet that attracts several investments in the commercial sector since the basis and assets of the exhibition industry are provided for and set in readiness for the success of this vital sector including infrastructure, geographic and strategic site that enhances confidence in the state establishments and national cadre which gained wide and stable expertise in several fields that help in developing the exhibitions industry and creates an income to be added to the national income. The UAE Armed Forces works in cooperation with the state establishments responsible for organising these exhibitions and conferences to enable them to achieve the utmost benefits possible.

The follow up and concern by H.H. Shaikh Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice-President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and H.H. Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces was the main reason for the international appreciation that reflects the pioneering position reached by the UAE in the exhibition industry field.
