ABU DHABI — The Correctional and Punitive Establishments Department of Abu Dhabi Police has announced the visiting hours for prisons in Al Ain, Wathba and Mafraq during the holy month of Ramadan.
Brigadier Yusouf Abdul Kareem, Director of the Department, said prosecutors can visit men and women inmates at the Al Ain and Wathba jails on Sunday from 9am to 2pm. Women will be allowed to visit both men and women prisoners on Monday from 9am to 5.30pm.
Male visitors can meet female inmates from 9am to 2pm on Thursday. Advocates can sit with their male and female clients on Tuesday from 9am to 2pm and diplomats can visit both male and female inmates at the same time on Wednesday.
Foreign male visitors can visit male inmates on Friday from 9am to 5.30pm and Arab visitors will have the chance to meet Arab inmates at the same time on Saturday.
As for the visits to minors and juveniles at Al Mafraq’s juvenile welfare centre, Monday is dedicated for women, Friday for foreign men and Saturday for Arab men, from 9am to 5.30pm.
