Special roaming tariffs for Haj Pilgrims

DUBAI — Haj pilgrims are being offered special fees for roaming during the season of the annual Muslim pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia by UAE phone service provider du.

du subscribers roaming in the country will not be charged for receiving calls, including international calls, and outgoing calls to the UAE will be charged at Dh3 per minute.

Farid Faraidooni, EVP Commercial, du, said the tariffs, which were also offered last year to pilgrims, are available for both billed and prepaid customers travelling to Saudia Arabia during November 21 to December 12. 

“On the occasion of Haj last year, we innovated the idea of offering special tariff to Haj pilgrims,” Faraidooni said in a statement.

“We have extended the facility of unlimited, free incoming calls to all our customers travelling to The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia this year as well – that will help customers stay in touch with family and friends on this important journey of a lifetime,” added Faraidooni.

All du mobile customers will benefit from the promotion while roaming with any service operator in the country without needing to register.

Dh3.00 per minute for outgoing calls to UAE
