Free Parking in Dubai Today

(Staff Reporter) / 8 March 2009

DUBAI - Users of public parking in Dubai will be exempt from parking fee today on the occasion of the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced on Saturday.

Engineer Maitha bin Adai, CEO of Traffic and Roads Agency, said the decision to exempt public parking use from fees on this blessed occasion was in line with RTA’s strategy to provide benefit to the community on such occasions.

She urged the users of public parking to cooperate with the RTA drive and avoid disorderly use of parking spaces during the exemption period so that residents and visitors of the emirate could benefit from the decision.

Maitha also urged the users of public parking to avoid the prolonged occupation of parking spaces, particularly in congested areas.
