South Africa scored 354 for six after winning the toss and electing to bat in the third one-day international against England at Newlands on Friday.

Both teams showed two changes from the sides which played in the second match in Centurion last Sunday, which England won by seven wickets.

South Africa included pace bowlers Morne Morkel and Wayne Parnell in place of all-rounder Albie Morkel and fast bowler Charl Langeveldt. Parnell was playing in his first match since recovering from an ankle injury.

For England, fast bowler Stuart Broad and off-spinner Graeme Swann had recovered from injury and returned in place of Sajid Mahmood and Adil Rashid.

Play was due to start in sunny weather on a ground where the team batting first have usually had an advantage in day-night games.

England lead the five-match series 1-0 after the opening encounter in Johannesburg was rained out.
