Israelis arrest six in W. Bank

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM — The Israeli army arrested yesterday five members of the radical Palestinian movement Hamas in the southern West Bank as well as a local leader of another militant faction, the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades. The five Hamas followers were detained in the village of Dahariya, close to the southern city of Hebron, an army spokesman said.

Majdi Amer Majdi Amer, a local commander of the Al Aqsa Brigades, was captured during an operation in the village Kufr Kalil, close to the northern city of Nablus, according to Palestinian and Israeli security sources.
