ABU DHABI — An Italian technical-commercial delegation will visit the UAE today on a four-day mission to seek a bigger share of the country's building construction and technologies market, an Italian trade official said.

The delegation comprises 17-companies from the northern Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, province of Udine and representatives from the provinces' Association of Industrial Companies.

Their talks with UAE officials and businessmen will cover stronger trade cooperation and ways to boost the exchange  of technical information, transfer of know-how and exports of some of the most topical material in the fields of building techniques and materials.

The mission of the Italian delegation is organised by the Italian Business Council (IBC).

The mission aims at strengthening the bilateral trade relations with a particular focus on the dynamic economic development of the Emirates of Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The presence, as Head of Delegation of Sen. Francesco Moro, Deputy Head of the Italian Senate, witnesses the high attention paid by the Italian system, both at political and economic levels to the potential business opportunities offered by the Emirates of Abu Dhabi in fields, like civil construction and urban development, in which the Italian companies can offer an excellent and worldwide renown 'know how.' The visit will include meetings with officials at the Abu Dhabi and Dubai Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Al Nakheel, Aldar groups, Department of Works of the Municipalities of Abu Dhabi.
