SPC discusses UAE oil policy

ABU DHABI -The Supreme Petroleum Council (SPC) reviewed, in a meeting here yesterday, various aspects of the oil policy that could strengthen the UAE position in the oil arena.

Presided over by Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and SCP Chairman, the Council was briefed on the progress of work at various projects, particularly those in development, production and manufacturing sectors, currently under construction by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) and its group of companies.

The oil policy and progress of work in various oil exploration and development projects were also discussed. The meeting also discussed a number of issues pertinent to the development of oil industry, training and the status of global oil markets as well as other topics on the agenda.
