ABU DHABI - Etisalat yesterday launched its new Kallemni (Call Me) service for Wasel customers, which will make the Eid holidays more enjoyable by making it easier to stay in touch with friends and family.

The new service enables pre-paid Wasel mobiles to use a roaming facility and request anyone in the UAE to call them back while they are vacationing overseas.

Mohammed Al Fahim, Executive Vice President Marketing at Etisalat says:" For pre-paid Wasel customers travelling outside of the UAE, Kallemni provides a convenient and simple solution to contact anyone here in the Emirates via a mobile or landline phone.

" With Kallemni, the caller can request a return call anywhere in 100 countries as long as their pre-paid Wasel card has sufficient credit to cover roaming charges. The UAE caller pays only local mobile phone rates."

" The free-of-charge Kallemni service enables Wasel customers roaming abroad to send a request for a call to a UAE mobile or fixed line. To send a call request, the Wasel roaming customer needs to dial.

" On sending the request, the Wasel roaming customer will receive a notification message: "Your request is being processed. Thank you for using Kallemni service".

" The kallemni request is then sent to the UAE destination number as an SMS message, if the destination number is a mobile.

" If the destination number is a fixed line, the request is made via an automated telephone call asking the receiver to call the roaming number back."

"Wasel customers using the Kallemni service must have sufficient credit to ensure that the received call will cover roaming charges for the specific country they are in.

Kallemni is yet another free service which offers Wasel customers flexibility and convenience both home and abroad. "This innovation of new facilities which expand flexibilities to Wasel customers while roaming and keep them in touch with relatives and friends, this is in addition and follows a series of price reductions and the launch of the Wasel4Me home delivery service," concluded Fahim.
