Fatwa centre inaugurated in Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI — Interior Minister L. General Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan inaugurated the official Centre for Religious Research and Rulings (Ifta) of the UAE affiliated to the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Auqaf in Abu Dhabi on Thursday.

At the ceremony, Shaikh Saif said, “Our sagacious leadership’s initiative to set up an official Ifta Centre is a step in the right direction to promote noble traits in the community since the centre will receive inquiries from the public in Arabic, English, and Urdu on all religious, social, economic and trading issues.”

A questioner could also send query as SMS on 2535 which reach the mufti on duty directly who  will send back a quick answer fatwa (edict) to the questioner.
