Keeping aside the war of 'who has the best features between iOS and Android, iPhone has always been a device that has wooed its users through the features it has to offer and the simplicity of using them. So if you own an iPhone but aren't aware of the not-so-obvious features it has, here is a list of five such features.
1) Found an unclaimed iPhone, Siri will tell you who it belongs to.
If you spot an iPhone that is lying around somewhere without anyone to claim it, you can easily find out who it belongs to. All you have to do is push down the home button on the iPhone until Siri pops up. Once Siri is up, ask Siri, "Whose phone is this?" That's it, you will now see the iPhone display required details to know who is the owner of the iPhone.
2) Remote shutter using headphones.
This feature is for the photography enthusiasts. If you are someone who uses the iPhone for photography, you might have run into a situation where you would have liked to use the camera with a remote shutter, in simpler terms click a photo without physically touching your iPhone. Well, if you use the headphones that came along with your iPhone, you can do so by simply pressing the volume up or down button. (This feature is also compatible with some third-party headphones that have been specifically made for the iPhone).
3) Delete one digit at a time in iPhone's calculator
The inbuilt calculator app in iPhone doesn't come with an obvious button for deleting only the last number you typed in. If you are looking to specifically do just that, this is what can help you get it done. In the calculator app, swipe left or right where you see the numbers on the screen - as simple as that.
4) Switch off the flash light without opening the control panel
If you switched on the flash light of your iPhone and forgot to switch it off for some reason, it isn't mandatory that you have to open the control panel again to switch it off. All you have to do is pick up your iPhone and when you see the look screen light up, simply swipe left on the lock screen and the iPhone's flash light will be off in an instant!
5) Close multiple apps at once
Many iPhone users often keep many apps open and then, when they want to quit these apps, they do so by closing one app at a time. Next time, you have to close many apps, try this - double press the home button so that all the open apps show up. Now, simply place two fingers on two different apps and swipe up. There you are, you just closed two apps at once!
Now that you know these cool features, use them to become a power iPhone user. However, it has to be mentioned that some of the features mentioned above only work with the latest iOS. So, if you haven't got your iOS updated to the latest one, do so for free by going to Settings - General - Software Update.
